Purververance/FLUIDESIGN - Rigging Camp

Sunday, June 23, 2019 (St. Catharines)


A Purcerverance/Fluidesign - Rigging Camp in conjunction with Brock Rowing will be held on Sunday, June 23 in St. Catharines.  Participating athletes will be videoed during their races at the Tony B Regatta held Saturday, June 22 in St. Catharines.  Camp coaches will assist athletes in measuring their rigging on Saturday/Sunday and Purcerverance Rigging Analysis will be completed following the races.  Mike will review analysis sheets and existing rigging dimensions and provide recommendations to improve rigging efficiency.


Sunday's Camp schedule will begin at 8 am when participants will receive their Rigging Analysis sheets.  Mike will review the analysis sheet and discuss any recommended changes.   Camp coaches will assist in making rigging adjustments and boat rigging sheets will be updated.   


Once adjustments are complete participants will have the opportunity to race and be videoed during 2x 500m with their new rigging set-up.  Updated Purcerverance Rigging Analysis sheets will be developed following the camp and email to participants.           


Cost:  Singles $130,   Doubles $155.  

               Note: Participants that have purchased new 2019 Fluidesign shells can attend at half price.

MASTERS 'RACING TO WIN' CAMP (May 18 & 19, 2019)

Purcerverance and AMP Rowing are supporting Brock Rowing with a ‘Racing to Win’ Masters Camp on May 18 & 19, in St. Catharines.  Click on pic to view Camp Schedule. Coaches Michelle Darvill, Al Morrow and others will be sharing their knowledge and experience both on and off the water.  Participants will be videoed and receive Purcerverance analysis curves.  

Goals: 

The Camp is structured to focus on racing skills but will also address rowing technique and rigging in preparation for the upcoming season. 

Equipment: 

Participants to bring their own single or double.  Brock rowing will also have equipment for rent. 

Location:

St. Catharines, Henley Island Facility.

Purcerverance Club Development Camp

Book a Purcerverance Camp at your club.  Coach Purcer provides coaching, video analysis including speed curves, rowing technique presentations/discussion and rigging support for your athletes and coaches.  


The full day camp  (weekdays or weekends) of rowing & learning can be customized to focus on the needs of your club athletes and coaches.

  

Typical camps include:

- Three on-water sessions (one video capture, two technique modification)

- Presentation on rowing technique and SEEING OPPORTUNITIES FOR SPEED

- Presentation on Purcerverance Boat Speed Curves

- Individual rowing technique analysis based on boat speed including identification of performance improvements.

- Recommendations for rigging adjustments based on curves  to improve efficiency    

- All participants to receive their individual curve and video from the Camp


Cost:  $390 + $25/analysis sheet (travel & accommodations if required)
